2. Research on circular entrepreneurship is still in its early stages and scattered across various literature. This study aims to systematically review existing research and identify key themes, including growing circular SMEs, born circular firms and start-ups, social entrepreneurship in CE, and the support ecosystem for circular entrepreneurship.
3. The study finds that there is a greater emphasis on studying growing circular SMEs compared to other groups, and research in this field is mainly focused on European countries. The authors propose a future research agenda and a conceptual model for the entrepreneurial process in CE to further develop the literature on circular entrepreneurship.
